Is the PR1 trail currently open?
Yes, the PR1 Vereda do Areeiro trial is back open after the wildfires. However, please note - it will be completely closed on 14th–17th September 2026 and 21st–22nd September 2026. Tours including the PR1 hike will not be possible on those dates.
